Ned

 

Department of Communities, Culture & HeritageEastern Shore Players recognizes the support of the Province of Nova Scotia through the Department of Communities, Culture & Heritage in assisting with the creation and first performance of "Ned". We are pleased to work in partnership with the Culture Division to develop and promote our cultural resources for all Nova Scotians.

Set in a local store in the year 1948, "Ned" is a comedy about a mysterious parcel that arrives at the post office for Ned, who is the local hermit.

Written by Sue Higgs and workshopped by the Eastern Shore Players, this play was originally directed by Robin Webber.  With thanks to Wanda Graham, Artistic Director, HEAT Theatre; Fraser & Yvonne Banfield, props; Ernst & Margit Wechsler & family, stage curtain; and the Memory Lane Heritage Society for the loan of a collection of costumes.  We would also like to recognise Odette Steeves, Bonnie Ross and Tim Brushett, three of the original cast members who can't join us for the second showing of "NED" on 25th November 2012.
